Per industry standard, customer agrees not to engage current or formers employees of Mermaid, Inc. for housecleaning duties for a period of 2 years past the date of the last cleaning by Mermaid, Inc.
Low employee turnover drastically decreases the risk of theft. Mermaid Inc. has a bond covering theft, which has never been used in the 26 year history of the company.
Payment shall be made at the time services are rendered. If the check is not left the day of the clean, payment must be received within a week of that clean day to avoid a $35 late fee.
While Mermaid Inc.'s policy is to send the same employee(s) to our client's home, occasionally a substitute employee may be needed to keep your schedule. If the client refuses a substitute, there will be a fee of up to $75.00 added to the subsequent clean to compensate the employee for additional time needed to clean your home.
All employee’s eligibility for employment is verified prior to hiring. All personnel are Mermaid Inc. employees, as we don’t work with contractors.
Communication- We require all special requests to be called into the office 24 hours prior to the clean date. This allows us ample time to schedule the request; inform the employee of the request; and determine if there will be an additional charge. At your earliest convenience, please call the office to reschedule your clean if there is no electricity, no water, or if road conditions near your home are unsafe.
We do our best to secure your belongings, but sometimes accidents do occur. If something is broken by a Mermaid Inc. employee they will immediately contact the office, and the client if at home. The owner of Mermaid Inc. will immediately contact the client to discuss replacement, repair, or compensation for the item.
We require that cancellations are submitted at least 24 hours prior to the clean date. This 24 hour notification period is for business days Monday through Friday 7:30am-5pm. For Monday cancellations notification of cancellation must be submitted by end of day Thursday. If the cancellation is submitted less than 24 hours of the clean date, we will charge a $75.00 fee. For cancellations that occur when employee(s) arrive, fee will be the amount of the clean. The days with planned closings are New Year's Day, the Friday before Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Additional closings due to hazardous weather will be based on the closing of the Federal government. Refer to the home page to confirm unscheduled closings.
All dog and baby toys are to be picked up prior to the arrival of the cleaners. All other miscellaneous items that could clutter our workspace should also be picked up.
